The Holy Quran Award

An annual award held for children with disabilities under the age of 15 years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, sponsored and funded from his personal money by the Special Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Disabled Children's Association, His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz; with the aim of inspiring our children with disabilities to memorize the Holy Quran, recite it, and give it proper attention.
Total Prize Value: Approximately 600,000 Saudi Riyals

Award Categories

Children with Physical Disabilities

For children who suffer from physical disabilities, with four levels according to the number of chapters required to be memorized

Children with Physical and Intellectual or Intellectual Disabilities

For children who suffer from intellectual or dual disabilities, with four levels according to the number of chapters required to be memorized

Award Objectives

  • Encourage young children with physical and intellectual disabilities to memorize the Quran and contemplate its meanings
  • Qualify them to keep pace with other memorizers of the Holy Quran
  • Connect them with their religion, their Lord's book, and their Muslim community

Award Acceptance Conditions

  • The contestant must be a Saudi citizen, or a citizen of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, or a resident of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
  • The application form must be accompanied by a recent medical report proving the disability
  • The contestant's age must not exceed fifteen years at the time of the award ceremony
